IMMO4 vs IMMO5

IMMO4 (ID48): Earlier MQB vehicles (2012-2014). Requires Copy48 token for cloning.

IMMO5 (MQB48/MQB49): 2014+ models with AES encryption. Requires MQB48 license.

Adding a Key via OBD (IMMO5)

1. Connect Key Tool Plus to OBD port
2. Select VW → IMMO → Key Learn
3. Tool reads immobilizer data
4. Select "Add Key" — may require online calculation
5. Insert new key with XT57B super chip
6. Confirm programming and test

All Keys Lost on MQB

For AKL on IMMO5, read cluster data via OBD or bench reading the EEPROM. Key Tool Plus handles both methods with its built-in programmer.
